Meet the Black Children’s Book Author Behind Little Bogan Books

A native of East St. Louis, IL, Amber T. Bogan is the Founder and Principal Author of Little Bogan Books, where she is motivated to create stories that center and celebrate Black joy! As an early literacy champion, she continues to engage young readers with books that uplift, affirm, and spark the imagination.

When she is not busy drumming up her next story, Bogan can usually be found on an unexpected adventure with her husband and two kiddos.

Motivated by a deep commitment to creating the stories she longed for as a child, Author Amber T. Bogan penned her debut title, "Little Miss is Destined for Greatness," in 2019. Inspired, she founded Bright Light Publishing House to continue her publishing journey, which has since blossomed into Little Bogan Books. Dedicated to impactful storytelling, that centers and celebrates Black joy, Little Bogan Books is on a mission to help foster a new generation of children filled with endless aspirations, imagination and the confidence to reach for the stars.
